DELIJE JOURNAL 2010-2011 SEASON
#21
Metalac - Crvena Zvezda (0:1)

Today, Kragujevac was a red-white city... Thousands of Red Star supporters came to Kragujevac in order to support Red Star toward a new victory as well as 3 new points which leaves us in the race for the title... As in most performances, a number of people were late but at the end, we all came in a great numbers to the stadium.

During the first half, there were number of standard songs that were sung and sounded fairly well… from “’Ajde, igraj i bori se…” through “Eurovision song” and up to singing back and forth with the West stand… All those songs sounded loud and supportive enough for the players who created great chances, but who were not able to score...

A little after the beginning of the game, a banners became a part of the front rows of our kop and remained there until the end of the game... We also had pyrotechnics, fireworks, and torches that lit up sporadically in order to lift the atmosphere… At the beginning of the game, there were also a bunch of small pieces of paper that were thrown spontaneously…

In the second part of the game, our players attacked toward our direction, and received a support with songs that stimulated them to score… This time, we did not forget our friend Uros Misic… Patience with a great commitment to singing finally paid off and a few of our people got into the field to celebrate the goal with our players... Police shortly intervened after which all people returned back to our kop where we continued with a great atmosphere until the last whistle.
As of today, we turn our attention to the new game at Maracana on Wednesday.

Boycott of Derby

Delije, for the last 3 years our group, as all the other groups in Serbia, has boycotted attendance of the league games that took place on Holly Saturday. By doing that, we made it clear to Serbian public, and especially to Football Association that organizes the schedule of games, that we don't want to spend this particular day on stadiums. Unfortunately, they didn't have sense for our demands and it seems that the situation won't be better this year.

Delije, we all know that according to the schedule this year we play on this day with our biggest rivals. We are aware how important this game is, especially this year since there is a chance that we can win the Championship. However, our long-term struggle for respect of main values of our nation and ourselves too, is now primary objective compared to a derby or Championship. We all know how much the Championship means to us, and with how much faith and effort we go every weekend to the stadium in order to bring the title back where it belongs, to our stadium. But firstly, we have to respect our principles for which we fought for a years. Otherwise, we would be hypocrites if we stood back because of the importance of the game itself. If we boycotted against Borac Čačak, Vojvodina, and OFK Beograd, there is no reason that we should give our next opponent bigger attention.

Boycott of the games that are taking place on Holly Saturday comes from a wish to restore basic values in Serbia that were respected for centuries. The week before Easter has a special value and in old times the whole society showed its respect toward these days in a special way. The Communist Era, which destroyed faith and everything national, rejected all the traditional values in our country so we don't want it to last forever. We insist that it is time to change these habits! This is why we start from our own ’’backyard’’, and these are football stadiums. We are making it clear that we want to restore the respect for our faith. In this order, we must persevere because if we can make it, perhaps the whole society would recognize the need to restore centuries-old tradition.

Everybody is aware that we are correct. This was best shown during last few days when Football Association was pushed to think to change the date of this game. What bothers them all is that this good initiative comes from ’’hooligans’’ and they are thus afraid that they would give us credibility if they listen to us. We don't need credibility from them! Although we are aware that we are ’’hooligans’’ and everything else that comes in media in association with that name, we recognize who they are and what are the values that they respect. It is clear to us that they cannot recognize the correct thing to do in this case because they are all Communist that think how to get (i)legally wealthy through football as quick as possible.

Delije, it is shame for everyone who considers himself as part of the North Stand to come on JNA Stadium on Saturday, April 23rd. By coming to this game, every individual only helps Partizan and Football Association that are acting together against this initiative. North Stand has to be empty! Try to convince people around you to join our boycott. We can't let several irresponsible individuals, who probably think that they are bigger fans than us, creating a picture of our stand by showing up on Saturday. If we can sacrifice something that we care the most for higher reasons, it is clear that it also has to be done by people who sacrifice much less.

In media and in public we can hear stories ’’that people all over the World are playing on these days!?’’ Don't ’’buy’’ these stories because Serbia is neither Italy, nor Russia, nor any other country in the world. This is Serbia! Serbia is probably the only country in the world that has more respect for foreign values than for its own. This is the country in which the true values have disappeared long time ago. Unfortunately, we are unique in this category. For all these reasons, our stand has realized that there is a need for this kind of boycott.

Still, we are not the only ones who are doing this. Greek Championship stops every year for Easter holidays and it continues right after them. Thus, the only argument of those who don't have sense for hearing and understanding football supporters is not valid.

DELIJE, REMAIN CONSISTENT IN THIS BATTLE – FOR A BETTER TOMORROW!

Crvena Zvezda - Sloboda Sevojno (5:1)

An entire game was memorable... Great atmosphere at the stands was choreographed with jumping, singing, fireworks, banners, slogans, and positive madness in general… At the same time, our players on the field played amazingly well by scoring 5 goals...

North stand was almost full again and even East stand was not very far behind... West stand, on the other hand, was fairly empty. Typical songs were complemented by the ones that we usually sing before the derby. The idea was to let the players know that we will be with them in the derby but unfortunately not physically... At this point, the reasons for it are very well known and more importantly correct!

Highlighted slogans during the game were:

On the East stand: "No football on Holy Saturday!"
Close to the North stand: "If you love Red Star, SUPPORT IT!"
Inside our kop: Football Association of Serbia written on the Yugoslav flag with a star
"Unfaithful Karadzic (and others) continues being stubborn!"
"Djuric, you are following a spirit of your ancestors (with the hammer and sickle on both sides)"

At the end of the game with lighted some torches and sent a clear message to our players:

"On Saturday, you have to do it without us, play for the title and honor!"

Crvena Zvezda - Hajduk Kula (3:1)

In number of previous occasions, yesterday’s visit would be numerous, massive and among other soccer fans would still remain impossible. Everything that was done by mobilization and the recent success of the team, should not be easily dismissed.

Those who were at the stadium especially in the North kop, gave immense support to our players and, with standard repertoire, took them to a new victory... This time was a pay back time from the first part of the season. Several times he (Dzomba) was "welcomed" throughout the game.

We also welcomed the court's decision to reduce the penalty for our freind, so with shouting his name, we sung "Delije Delije hajmo svi u glas, Uros Misic jedan je od nas…"
Since 30 fans on East kop from Kosovo and Metohija were present at the game, we sang together “Sa Kosova zora svice...” A song that we were also singing was “Ooo mi tebi pevamo, i kada gubimo i kada vodimo…”

As for visual details, we had a standard roles of papers that were thrown... A number of slogans were shown in both parts of the game:
“Ne moze pobeda toliko da se voli, koliko gubitak obraza moze da boli”
“Partizanova svlacionica – jedino mesto gde se covek pretvara u majmuna”
“U svlacionici dzomba ostade bez dara, uzmi sad bananu od starih strugara!!!”

After those slogans, the following one said a lot:

"Consistent, persistent, faithful... Delije Sever"

With the last slogan there were torches and flares that were lit…

So, what follows is Karaburma and Rad at Maracana... Let's hope that yesterday was just a coincidence regarding the number of people and that we will continue working on increasing our numbers in the upcoming games.

OFK Beograd - Crvena Zvezda (0:0)

It was very nice day yesterday at Karaburma. Unfortunately, due to my irresponsibility as well as the people around me, I managed to get in around the 20th minute or so. At the North kop there were a lot of banners, and based what I saw on the floor, I could conclude that the pieces of paper were thrown as well. At that point, North kop was cheering against Tole (the president of Football Association of Serbia) and his alliance. Besides us, West and East kop gave us also some support. Part of the West kop close to the North from that point on remained on their feet until the end of the game. By the end of the half, we were predominately singing:
“Sve bih dao ja za gol”
Our players were escorted to the locker room with ''We want a victory''. At half-time, some instructions were handed in for the upcoming game next week.

The second half began with “Eurovision song”. Then we moved on to singing various songs about our brother Uros and we raised the slogan "Urose izdrži''. For fifteen minutes we were singing ''Svake noci sanjam ja...'' At that point, some people took off their shirts by singing this song. After that, there was ''Napred Zvezdo tebe volim ja...'' which was sung for a long time, and then spontaneously by the guys from the corner, it started “Mi tebi pevamo i kada gubimo i kada vodimo... '' That song was sung until the end of the game. There were also some flares that were sporadically lit up during that song. A game was ended and despite good and dominating game, our team remained without a victory. Players came to salute us at the end. It was a great misfortune that we did not win because one goal would probably made a delirium at the stadium.

Vojvodina - Crvena Zvezda (0:2)

Mass appearance of Delije in Novi Sad. There was one of the best choreography ever seen at the eastern stand of Karadjordje's stadium for the occasion of 20th anniversary of winning the Champions League. There was a number of slogans dedicated to General Ratko Mladic. All in all, a great day in Novi Sad...
